It was a beautiful day to take a hike around Little Cliff Pond. It’s a wonderful hike of about 1.6 miles and with easy trail markings, you can just walk along and just enjoy being outside in nature.

Rock Harbor is always pretty, summer or winter, cloudy or sun, boats or no boats. I loved this photograph with the little bits of ice on the harbor. Not enough to slow the boats down but just enough to show you how chilly it was last week.
This Common Eider was preening and bathing and just having a grand old time swimming around at Rock Harbor. I watched it for quite a while. I got many photos of his various preening activities.
I like this one the best. Beautiful bird, don’t you think?
The walk from Doane Rock to Coast Guard Beach was spectacular the other day. I love the little trail along Nauset Marsh and across the small boardwalk. The blue, blue sky was so beautiful looking toward Coast Guard Station in the distance.
This is one of my favorite beach trails leading to Cape Cod Bay. So, when the snowflakes were falling the other day, I thought it might make a pretty photograph.
