We love to hike at Nickerson State Park, especially off season. There are so many trails to explore and ponds to view. There is always something new to see. (Click on blog link for other photos.)
We hadn’t taken the Cliff Pond Loop since early last spring when there were still no leaves on the trees. It looks so different now.
Have you ever hiked the Cliff Pond Loop? So pretty!
This is such a great view from the wharf out to the bay. I love the huge, blue Adirondack chair on the right. You can see how big it is in comparison to the 2 benches on the left.
Always something new to see in Provincetown and always so much fun!
I’ve seen many of these Prickly Pear Cactus flowers in the sand along the sides of the road here on Cape Cod. There are a couple of Prickly Pear Cactus plants on the road to Boat Meadow Beach.
They bloom from June through August in sandy soil and dunes and are so pretty and delicate. They are native and on the “Massachusetts List of Endangered, Threatened and Special Concern Species.”
Have you ever seen a Pear Cactus flower?
