We were surprised to see the the dunes starting to take shape as we walked down Coast Guard Beach toward Nauset Spit the other day. They were easily 4-5 feet high. At low tide you can’t even see over the top of them to the part of the beach that is roped off for bird nesting in the spring and summer.
It will be very interesting to see what Mother Nature has in store for Coast Guard Beach this coming winter. It has changed so much over the past few years.
Note: I took this photograph before the Nor’easter this past week. It will be interesting to see the changes now.
This was such a pretty reflection of the 2 huge rocks on Cliff Pond at Nickerson State Park in Brewster. The Cliff Pond Loop is great 3 mile hike with spectacular views and some great reflections.
This is one of my favorite trails to Cape Cod Bay. The tall reeds and Goldenrod wildflowers made for a pretty photo. I love the wispy clouds in the sky!
I always love that iconic picture of a surfer walking along the beach holding his surfboard, anticipating the next ride. The sun was so pretty on the water and this surfer as he walked along Coast Guard Beach.
