Nauset Beach Is Always Spectacular On Cape Cod!

Nauset Beach, part of the National Seashore,  is one of the more popular beaches on Cape Cod. Its beaches go for miles… Nauset Spit to the north and to Chatham to the south.

I loved this photograph as you walk up the first path to the beach. So pretty, don’t you think?

You can see that they have been working hard over the winter to install this new fence to help with beach erosion.

Interesting Sand Patterns At Nauset Spit On Cape Cod.

There were the coolest patterns of sand at the end of Coast Guard Beach by Nauset Spit. It almost looks like a tray of swirled fudge. (Click on blog link to see larger photo

You can see the formations as you look out onto Nauset Marsh from the backside of Coast Guard Beach.

Pretty interesting, don’t you think?

Eastern Kingbird At Nauset Light Beach On Cape Cod.

We had just taken a nice walk on the beach and decided to have our “car picnic” overlooking the beach at Nauset Light Beach. There were 8 surfers out there  trying to find that perfect wave. And then this bird flew in and landed on a small branch in front of our car overlooking the ocean. A perfect photo op!

It was an Eastern Kingbird and the first we have seen this year. What a treat! The Eastern Kingbird is a large flycatcher that is predominantly black and dark grey with white underparts.

Such a beautiful bird, don’t you think? Have you ever seen an Eastern Kingbird?
